A seven-year-old boy in Canberra, Australia, broke into an outback zoo in order to feed the crocodile. The boy was caught on Alice Springs Reptile Center’s security cameras, as he fed a turtle, four Western blue-tongue lizards, two bearded dragons, two thorny devil lizards, and an adult female Spencer’s goanna to a 440 pound saltwater croc named “Terry”. The footage also showed the smiling kid bludgeoning another blue tongue lizard and two more thorny devils to death. Center Director Rex Neindorf had this to say: “In my day he’s get a big boot up the arse.”
Since the child is under 10, he can’t be held accountable (why is that, anyway?); zoo authorities have decided to sue the parents instead, since they should have been watching the little bugger. Nobody, in the meantime, has any idea what brought all this on, since the kid won’t talk. Isn’t that nice? I’m thinking some therapy is in order. Feeding a hungry crocodile is one thing, but bludgeoning animals to death with a smile on your face calls for some serious intervention.
