As a nation, we have done our share of complaining about a government that lies. It is one of the biggest reasons that Barack Obama has been successful in gathering support; yet now that he tells the truth, he finds himself in hot water.
I am not convinced that he should be apologizing; it is human nature to get bitter when the economy tanks at such a large scale. It is also human to look for blame elsewhere, and to express that bitterness by focusing on issues that may not actually help the situation, be it immigration, religious causes, or resorting to ‘one-issue-voting’.
Barack speaks the truth, and the truth is unpopular, maybe more unpopular than the lies we have lived with so long. The lies, unfortunately, are familiar; only time will tell whether he will be able to get past this.
It is pathetic that, rather than addressing the issues, both McCain and Hillary attack the person Obama; calling him elitist is outrageous, especially coming from them. The response from both campaigns makes it abundantly clear that they don’t care about Obama’s words; they just care about chopping off his head. Once again, the smell of blood is in the air. Except this time, McCain and Hillary’s responses are eerily similar; and that is perhaps the most uncomfortable aspect of this whole firestorm.

The issue is that is a large difference between people who live in the large cities and those who do not.
His words were very, very clear.
Rural America will ask, “Is this someone who will defend my 1st and 2nd Amendment rights granted to us by the Constitution (our governing document)?”
His record on gun legislation and recent religious issues, along with coming from one of the largest U.S. Cities have rural America questioning his intentions regarding the Constitution.
Clinton and McCain both know that these voters show up on election day and their consistent stance on the 2nd Amendment issues are a part of what this country strong.
Obama had another 2nd Amendment issue in Pennsylvania during this cycle also.

Anyone who thinks any of these three are in tune with people who live in Smalltown America is greatly mistaken.
ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN and any other network in America revolves around these large cities. Politicians are the same. Give the networks what they want, the networks sell advertising to those who live in the city to be seen by those who live in the cities.
Joe Sixpack gets lost in the mix. Obama, in this candid conversation has just shown he is no different that the others…talk, talk, talk.
